Making apple cobblers or crisps requires a lot of sliced apples. While the end result is delicious, the prep work is sometimes a bit time consuming.
This kitchen hack for cutting apples from our friend Registered/Certified Dietitian Nutritionist Erin Burch can be a real time-saver. She used this cutting technique when making her Apple Berry Cobbler recipe for us earlier this year.
Peel the apple using a Paring Knife or Vegetable Peeler. Carefully run the knife around the apple about 1/3 of the way down from the stem and make another radial cut around the apple another 1/3 of the way down.
Hold the apple upright and start slicing off pieces of apple.
